April 6, 2013 Meeting Minutes

Location: Findlay Toyota Dealership

Date:
April 6th, 2013

Call to order:
10:15 a.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were recited by Hope.

Roll call was answered by 10 members.

Minutes:
read aloud by Janelle. No changes or additions to the meeting minutes.

Treasurer’s Report:
Dana reported  $50  dollars collected, bringing the total to $410 dollars.

Field Trip Committee: 
Springs Preserve.

Community Service Committee:
Red Rock clean-up.

New Business:
Poultry Night, County fair, fair attire of white button-up, black pants and green tie/bow, and mention of documentation of all activities, events and meetings stored in your 4-H journal.  Hope asks if any person would like to be a part of a dog committee. The 6 volunteers include Sam, Hope, Dana, Janelle, Cole, and Madison.

March 16, 2013 Meeting Minutes

Location: Findlay Toyota
Date: March 16, 2013

Call to Order: 10:15 a.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were recited by Kailee.

Roll call was answered by 15 members.

Minutes of previous meeting read aloud by Hope. No changes or additions to the meeting minutes.

Treasurer’s Report: Dana reported a total of $360 dollars.

Field Trip Committee suggestions includes Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, and Gilcrease Orchard.

Community Service Committee formed by two 4-H members: Madison and Cole.

New Business: in
Recycled Garden Container to show at the 4-H fair by Madison, Cupcake decorating at the 4-H fair, and showmanship of various animals. Trinity's project is Dog Agility, Madison’s project is Hatching Eggs, and showing her chicken, & Jade’s project is Photography, Hope's project is chicken showmanship too.

President Hope proposes summer meetings, all in favor.

President Hope proposes that adults have a separate meeting. Jade seconds the motion. Motion passed.

President Hope proposes Thomas the Tank Engine volunteer job at the Southern Nevada Railway, on April 7th, at 8:15am-12:15am with rotating shifts.
Kailee seconds the motion. Motion passed.

November 17, 2012 Meeting Minutes

Location: Omar Haikal Islamic Academy (OHIA)

Date: November 17, 2012

Call to Order: 10:20 a.m

Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge was recited.

Roll call was answered by 20 members, 1 visitor.

During social time, everyone announced their name and favorite color.

Question and Answers: Kate asked how long projects are. Randy answered projects last until October 2013.

Review of council jobs include: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasury. Member Trinity Lively reads Order of Business. Order of meeting is discussed. Members and visitors break into 5 groups, discussing ideas for projects. Also discussed are 4-H journals. 

Community Project Ideas include:
•    Desert Clean-up
•    Coats for Christmas
•    Visit Horse Stables
•    Hovercraft

Craft Ideas include:
•    Pinecones with glitter
•    Christmas Ornaments
•    Bring a craft a meeting
•    December craft: Madison
•    January craft: Kashmala

New and old Business is discussed.


Fundraising is discussed.

Kailee proposes $5 due per child, per month. Christy seconds the motion. Motion passed.

Randy proposes meeting the 15th of December.

Hope seconds the motion. Motion passed.
